Dan D'Monke (pronounced D-Monk)[2] is a monkey character introduced in Bloons TD 6. He is a skilled swordfighter who has two identities: the noble, fashionable Monkey of the Court and his more aggressive rogue alter ego, The Masqued Macaque (whom he denies being related to). He uses his rapier, survival kit and his own smarts to attack Bloons and/or buff his fellow towers.
Gameplay
[edit | edit source]Dan D'Monke is a Hero with two forms. His base form, Monkey of the Court, has a fast melee attack and focuses on support. His other form, The Masqued Macaque, trades his attack speed for damage and causes his attacks to sometimes unleash chain lightning. In both forms, he is immune to negative effects and has several other attacks and mechanics, namely Net Traps, Magic Barrier, Taunt & Stomp, Quick Thinking, and First Aid. He focuses on reducing lives lost by pushing Bloons away from the exit and reducing the lives deducted by Bloons that leak, as well as healing lost lives and generating Mana Shield. His first Activated Ability triggers his transformation, while the other two have different effects depending on his current form.
General information

[edit | edit source]Dan is a monkey with pale skin, dark brown fur, dark green eyes, and luscious dark brown hair tied into a braided ponytail with pink hair ties. His usual attire consists of a pink beret, a matching cape held in place with a red button, a long-sleeve cream-colored shirt, puffy dark turquoise pants and a set of brown gloves and boots, the latter with golden buckles. He also may be using eyeliner. He wields a completely silver rapier. In Bloons TD 6, his appearance changes as he levels up:
- At level 3, his beret gains a gold pin with two leaves attached, his cape gains a yellow rim, and the hilt of his rapier turns golden and patterned, suspiciously similar to the Masked Macaque's.
- At level 10, his beret turns into a proper hat with the pin repositioned to the front of the brim, his gloves and boots are exchanged for gray ones, he gains a streak of white hair, his cape is larger, and his rapier turns golden with a gold and hot pink flower-shaped hilt.
- At level 20, his hat and hair tie turn red (with a yellow band for the former), the white streak in his hair extends to his braid, his gloves are golden yellow, his boots gain a yellow rim at the top and soles, his pants are deep blue, his cape is completely transformed into a feather-like pattern and recolored red with a yellow and white trim held in place with a blue buttom, and his rapier is larger, exchanges the hot pink for blue, and gains blue swirling stripes on the blade.
When disguised as the Masqued Macaque, he lets his hair loose (revealing it to be as long as he is tall), dons a darker turquoise mask, and replaces his beret with an equally pink rose. His cape is centered on his back and gains a yellow lining, and he gains a silver shoulder pad on his right side. His rapier also gains a golden patterned hilt. Naturally, his appearance also changes as he levels up:
- At level 10, he gains a white streak in the front of his hair, the rose on the side of his head fully blooms, gains a red cape with the same yellow trim, and he inherits Dan's costume and rapier changes.
- At level 20, the white streak extends to his luscious locks, the rose on his head is blue with an additional smaller pink rose on top of it, his cape gains a similar pattern to Dan's, his rapier becomes blue with a darker blue spiral stripe and spikes on the blade, and he inherits Dan's costume changes.
