BMCLover57 (talk | contribs) Created page with "City Level is one of the fundamental features in Bloons Monkey City. XP is required for each City Level, as City Level increases, so does the XP requirement. Each level up rewards the player with Bloonstones, City Cash, increased Starting Cash and Starting Lives. Leveling up can also increase the amount of Monkey Buildings & Resource Buildings you can build, as well as unlock various Buildings." |

Would it ever be worth it to NOT level up the city? Qwertyxp2000 (talk) 06:33, 8 July 2026 (UTC)

::Why not? Not leveling up can let yourself matchmake CT with less experienced players, well to a certain point. Some video games actually make it favorable to not leveling up an account for a while because it restricts enough to promote a certain playstyle to grind a specific resource before being ready to take on harder game goals. :::CT matchmaking barely matters here, if you don't win it you just don't win the city cash for those two/three days, it's a minor setback at worst. Planterror (talk) 14:29, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
::::What about resource grinding like MK and Events? Qwertyxp2000 (talk) 14:32, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
:::::Resource grinding is not as impactful in this game because all of them don't matter in the long run. Bloonstones are purely quality of life, city cash has a limit to its effectiveness, and Monkey Knowledge has massive xp curves to completely discourage grinding it.
