It improves the damage-over-time effect of the Glue Gunner's glue, making it tick every 0.5 seconds instead of every 2 seconds, and increases the damage-over-time's [[Ceramic damage]] from +0 to +2. This upgrade also increases Glue Gunner's pierce by 1 and decreases [[Attack cooldown]] by 50% (from 1 second to 0.5 seconds).

Bloon Dissolver is good for cleanup during the early-game and mid-game, with its glue being able to take down pre-Round 81 {{B|Ceramic Bloon|BTD6}}s with one hit. However, it fares significantly worse on [[Expert]] maps due to Bloons slipping by more often and Ceramics having less time to pop before reaching the exit. When using Bloon Dissolver, it is recommended to prevent other towers from popping high-tier Bloons into many low-tier ones that it struggles against. 3-2-0 is the optimal crosspath, as the extra pierce alleviates its weakness against rounds with large clumps low-tier Bloons, such as Round 36.
