In addition to the standard Bloon types, players may send [[Test Bloon]]s and [[MOAB Test Bloon]]s, which are exclusive to this mode. Both have extremely high health, spawn no children, have the lowest [[Strong]] priority bracket, and cost no lives when leaked. Test Bloons and MOAB Test Bloons function mostly the same as each other, except MOAB Test Bloons are also treated as [[MOAB-Class Bloon]]s.

Latest revision as of 12:51, 23 April 2026

Sandbox (or Sandbox Mode) is a mode in Bloons TD 6 designed to help players to test out towers and strategies. In singleplayer, Sandbox may be played on Easy, Medium, or Hard difficulties after completing Easy Standard, Reverse, or Hard Standard respectively. It is not playable in Co-op mode. Sandbox is unique compared to other modes in several important ways:

  • Players may manually set the amount of cash and lives they have at any time, anywhere between 0-9,999,999 of each. Players begin with $9,999,999 ($10,000,199 with More Cash More Cash) and 999,999 lives.
  • Players may manually send out specific types of Bloons or specific rounds; rounds do not progress as normal.
    • End-of-round effects such as Merchantmen's cash generation happen upon popping all Bloons of the round or clearing them by pressing the button on the Send Bloons menu.
  • There are no victory or defeat conditions and no rewards or medals. If the player's lives are set to zero, towers stop attacking, but the game does not end.
    • If all lives are lost from leaking Bloons rather than setting it to 0 manually, the number of lives resets after a few seconds without leaking.
  • No actions count toward achievements or stats on one's profile.
  • DDTs have 480 health before Round 90, and BADs have 28,000 health before Round 100.
  • Paragons and the VTSG may only be built if they have been built already in a regular game.

In Sandbox, there is a menu with many options to facilitate testing. This menu replaces the one to select Powers and Insta Monkeys.

Changing rounds

[edit | edit source]

The player may freely set the current round, either by selecting the "Set Round" field in the top-right corner or selecting the round indicator next to the settings buttom. Setting or sending the current round deletes all existing Bloons and cancels any Bloons which are about to be sent out. The round which the game is set to applies modifiers to the Bloons, and updates the cost of Geraldo's Rare Quincy Action Figure. The maximum round available is the maximum round the player has achieved in a standard game, or 999, whichever is less.

Sending Bloons

[edit | edit source]

The player may send out specific types of Bloons. Sending custom Bloons does not delete Bloons or cancel any existing Bloon sends. Camo, Regrow, and Fortified properties may be toggled on and off for custom sent Bloons. The Frontier Legends-exclusive Bloons (Aura Bloon, Diamond Bloon, Dynamite Bloon, Glass Bloon, Retribution Bloon, and Ringleader Bloon) are only sendable if the player encounters them in Frontier Legends first.

There is the option to send between 1-999 of a Bloon type at once, with any spacing between 0-999. The spacing is the number of tenths of a second in between Bloons; for example if the spacing is set to 20, Bloons are sent once every 2 seconds.

In addition to the standard Bloon types, players may send Test Bloons and MOAB Test Bloons, which are exclusive to this mode. Both have extremely high health, spawn no children, have the lowest Strong priority bracket, and cost no lives when leaked. Test Bloons and MOAB Test Bloons function mostly the same as each other, except MOAB Test Bloons are also treated as MOAB-Class Bloons.
