CHIMPS is significantly more difficult than most other game modes, especially when going for a [[Map#Borders|black border]] for a map without guides, as it makes all cash-generating towers, such as [[Monkey Town (BTD6)|Monkey Town]], [[Rubber to Gold (BTD6)|Rubber to Gold]], [[Merchantman (BTD6)|Merchantman]], and the hero [[Benjamin (BTD6)|Benjamin]], useless. It is important to not put down too many low-tier towers in the early-game and mid-game only for them to become useless later on. Instead, focus on a few strong towers with support as well. The hero, too, is extremely important, as they have 100 rounds to level up and gain massive attack and/or support capabilities to become by far the most valuable tower on the screen.

Earning the red CHIMPS badge is not too difficult to earn, and sometimes easier than Impoppable because there's less worry about accidental leaking due to Retry Last Round giving second chances for free. The real challenge is completing without Retry Last Round — always pre-plan a consistently working strategy for all stages of the game, especially on harder maps.
