Destroyer is the Monkey Buccaneer's path 1 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It reduces the cooldown of both its main attack and (if crosspathed with path 2) Grape Shot by 80%, effectively quintupling its attack speed for both attacks.

Strategy

Destroyer is a strong and versatile tower, with several of them being able to take down the mid-game on nearly all maps with water. It is generally best placed at spots surrounded by track on opposing sides, where its attacks can activate on both sides. Crosspath 1 Destroyer to 3-2-0 and the others to 3-1-0, as Grape Shot's increased projectiles are essential to Destroyers and only one Hot Shot is needed to take down mid-game Lead Bloons and inflict the burn.

Pair Destroyer with the 3-2-0 Berserker Brew, boosting former's 1 base pierce and damage are boosted greatly. Admiral Brickell is also crucial for Destroyer-centric strategies, as Naval Tactics and the +1 pierce at Level 8 boost the power of Destroyers further. Past Round 80, Permanent Brew + Destroyer spam is an exceptionally powerful strategy that wipes the floor with CHIMPS and Least Cash Bosses.
