Special Items are a feature in Bloons Monkey City which unlock permanent bonuses for a city. Most can be obtained from Treasure Chests and Special Missions. In the Flash version of Bloons Monkey City, Special items will affect both cities.

List of Special Items

Increases the City Cash capacity of the player's city by 1500.

Each Dart Monkey has a 20% chance for it's attacks to double in pierce.

Increases the City Cash capacity of the first Banana Farm by 150. Stacks with the Banana Barn, multiplying it's bonus by 10%.

Provides 300 Bloontonium when sending a revenge attackBloons Monkey City (Flash) or revenges cost Bloontonium 80% Bloons Monkey City (multiplatform).

Provides 1 free Dart Monkey in every game. This dart's base price sells for $0. Selling a free dart will provide the player another free dartBloons Monkey City (Flash) or add to the dart monkey totalBloons Monkey City (multiplatform). Stacks with the Dart Monkey Knowledge.

Provides $50 at the start of every game, which stacks with the Epic Magic Coin Purse.

Provides $200 at the start of every game, which stacks with the Magic Coin Purse.

Provides 10% extra City Cash when capturing a tile.

Monkey Aces and Monkey Buccaneers cost 5% less to place and upgrade.

Changes all Temple Of The Monkey Gods to Temples of the Vengeful Monkey. This is a cosmetic effect applied to all temples builtBloons Monkey City (Flash) or provides an Activated AbilityBloons Monkey City (multiplatform) which transforms the Temple and increases damage output.

Provides +10% range to Missile Launcher Bomb Shooters.

Provides an Activated Ability that removes Camo property to all bloons on screen and newly spawned bloons for 20 seconds.

Provides a bonus +1 pierce to all Boomerang Throwers.

Provides a bonus 5% Attack speed to Ninja Monkeys.

Provides a bonus 5% Attack speed and 5% freeze duration to Ice Monkeys. This is enough to permanently stall a bloon with Enhanced Freeze on the Flash version of Bloons Monkey City.

Contrary to the text on the special item, it provides a bonus 15% glue slowdown and 5% glue duration to Glue Gunners.

Provides an Activated Ability that gives 20 additional lives.

Provides the Dragon King Decoration.

The first Bloon (that isn't MOAB-Class) that leaks is dealt 350 damage before it leaks, and triggers a Monkey Boost. This does not spend a Monkey Boost, but it does place the Monkey Boost button on a short cooldown.
