If and only if [[Larger Service Area (BTD6)|Larger Service Area]] is purchased before the Bloon Trap upgrade, instant re-deployments can be performed. If the trap is retargeted soon after being deployed, it will be instantly collected and the Engineer Monkey will instantly place a new trap at the new location, after a full attack cooldown has elapsed since the last trap deployment. Therefore by re-targeting the trap to the same location after every deployment, there will be very low downtime for the trap if it takes longer than 12s to fill up. Note again that Larger Surface Area upgrade must be purchased before the Bloon Trap upgrade for this to work. This technique, will potentially cumbersome, will maximize the amount of income obtained from traps.
