Polyphemus is considered the most difficult Intermediate map, due to the short track lengths, 2 completely overlapping lanes, lack of good bends or placements that shoot down straight lines, and walls that interfere with projectiles. Its difficulty is shown by its Least Cost CHIMPS being the highest out of the Intermediate maps, at $66955. Utilize the eye, as despite the cost needed to keep it open, the buffs it grants to towers on it and it being at a good spot makes doing so well worth it. Towers that simplify Polyphemus's challenging gameplay are listed here.
Polyphemus is average among Intermediate maps in terms of difficulty. Utilize the eye, as despite the cost needed to keep it open, the buffs it grants to towers on it and its position inside the loop make doing so well worth it. Land towers are best placed immediately above and below the eye, as these spots take good advantage of the loop around the eye. With these tips in mind, Polyphemus can be defeated using general strategies listed here.
