Tower categories, also called tower types and classes,[1] are a classification system for towers in Bloons TD 6, Bloons TD Battles 2, and Bloons Adventure Time TD.
Tower categories in Bloons TD 6 / Bloons TD Battles 2
Primary
Primary towers are basic but cheap and practical, usually originating from the first Bloons Tower Defense. This category includes the Dart Monkey, Boomerang Monkey, Bomb Shooter, Tack Shooter, Ice Monkey, Glue Gunner, and Desperado.
Military
Military towers all have a way to gain infinite range and pop all bloon types. This category includes the Sniper Monkey, Monkey Sub, Monkey Buccaneer, Monkey Ace, Heli Pilot, Dartling Gunner, and Mortar Monkey.
Magic
Magic towers are somewhat eclectic in purpose, but usually provide buffs to other towers while maintaining good damage numbers. This category includes the Wizard Monkey, Super Monkey, Ninja Monkey, Alchemist, Druid and Mermonkey.
Support
Support towers are towers not usually used for main defense, but to support setups. This category includes the Banana Farm, Monkey Village, Spike Factory, Engineer and Beast Handler.
Heroes
Heroes are towers that automatically level up by themselves. All heroes, with the exception of Geraldo, have an activated ability at level 3 and another at level 10, while some heroes, like Corvus, have an additional activated ability at level 7. All heroes have a maximum level of 20, and can be leveled up manually by spending cash, although this is highly cost inefficient. Only one hero can be placed per player.
