The Legend of the Night is too expensive in most scenarios, and its main attack does not offer much power for its cost. As a last resort, its black hole ability can sometimes be used in Freeplay, but its long cooldown makes it unreliable, not to mention sacrificing the tower to the VTSG being a far better play. That said, The Legend of the Night is unique in that it is one of the strongest single tower upgrades, placing itself in the niche of Least Tiers challenges, especially in Boss Events.
The Legend of the Night is unique for being one of, if not, the strongest tower in the game that does not require any form of additional sacrifices. Despite this, it is outclassed by a max True Sun God, and in turn VTSG, for damage output alone.

It shines in extreme freeplay for its Black Hole passive ability that can take down any Bloon that leaks with its biggest perk in which leaking when activating its black hole does not consume any lives, allowing several BADs to leak without issue. But however its downsides is that it is limited to two activations per round, its short duration, and has a long cooldown. (as it is considered and ability, it's cooldown can be reduced with Energizer.) Because of this, it has a very good synergy with the Time Stop power as it slows down Bloons (including BADs) to give the black hole better uptime.

Legend of the Night also has seen some use in ranked boss events against Phayze in least tiers and least cash, as it serves a similar purpose to Ascended Shadow at a lower price point.
