Martian Games is a bi-daily event in Bloons Adventure Time TD, introduced in Version 1.5. During this event, the player competes for the highest round against up to 5 other players. Each event has a randomly selected rule preset and map.

Schedule

Martian Games starts at 00:00:00 UTC and ends after two days at 00:00:00 UTC.

Mechanics

Martian Games involves a maximum of six players competing for the highest round in a given lobby. Each event has a randomly selected map and preset of up to three modifiers. When a player completes a round starting from Round 10, they will claim the throne for eight hours, letting said player passively generate Martian Crystals, even when the game is closed. If the player in control of the throne reaches a higher round, they will not refresh the timer. A player that has not claimed the throne while another player has the throne claimed can only claim the throne by reaching a higher round, so if all players cannot beat the same round, the player that claims the throne first will be secure until the timer expires.

Magic Man's rules

Main article: Magic Man's rules

Magic Man's rules provides a preset of up to three modifiers for any given Martian Games event. These modifiers can range from reducing income in half to Magic Man himself stealing one of the player's towers on occasion. See the main page for a full list.

Martian Crystals

Martian Crystals are a currency spent at the Martian Trader for various items. They are primarily earned passively at a rate of 150/hour by holding the throne. Once per event, 150 more crystals are earned by claiming the throne, and reaching round milestones will also award crystals. A full list of round milestones can be found below.

Martian Trader

The Martian Trader is an in-game store where the player can spend their Martian Crystals on various currencies, premium characters, or exclusive Trinkets, Allies, or Weapons. Trinkets, Allies, and allies from the Martian Trader cannot be obtained by any other means, while premium characters can only be earned outside of the Martian Trader through purchases with real-life money.

Flagging

Players can be flagged in Martian Games if they cheat during an event. This will result in players being placed in flagged lobbies, where they can only match with other flagged players, indicated by the player having the sword icon near their name. Without using external modifications, the only known way of being flagged is by using the Big Hearted Hero/Dimension Disruptor/Time Travel Machine/Abraham Lincoln's Penny round skip glitches, as using round skips are considered exploits by the developers.[1]
