Bloon immunity

Bloon immunity is a mechanic present in the Bloons franchise, introduced in the original Bloons Tower Defense. Certain types of Bloons are immune to a specific kind of damage type, are are usually countered by damage types outside of their immunity.

While MOAB-Class Bloons and Boss Bloons usually only take less damage, reduced debuff effects, or simply can't be targeted by certain towers, the DDT and the Bloons TD 6 incarnation of Dreadbloon have specified damage immunities.

Bloon immunity mechanics do not appear in Bloons Card Storm despite featuring Bloons that usually sport immunities. This was intentional on the developers' part, as they found the immunity mechanic unfair when the gameplay involves a limited amount of monkeys on the playing field.[1]
