When created, Sun Temple and True Sun God sacrifice all the towers within their range and their total value is used to either improve their main attack and add new attacks and bonuses.

Mechanics

The enhancements of the Temple depend on two factors: the cost and the category (Primary, Military, Magic or Support) of the tower. The Temple will not sacrifice Heroes, Powers and Paragons within its range. The higher the cost of the towers being sacrificed, the more benefits will be obtained and they are separated by tiers, reaching a specific threshold will give all the benefits from previous tiers as well.

Although Sun Temple sacrifices all towers in its range, it will only obtain benefits from 3 categories maximum at the same time, the category with the lower total cost among sacrifices is ignored. True Sun God will benefit from all categories. For Primary, Military and Magic benefits, each tier will alternate between improving the main attack of the temple and adding or upgrading a secondary attack.

All the benefits of the Sun Temple will carry over to the True Sun God or VTSG and the later two will apply their own benefits on top depending on the sacrifices offered for the upgrade. If the same benefit is obtained twice, they apply separately. Main attack bonuses are applied again, using the Temple's values as base. For new attacks and sub-tower spawns, they gain a second one, independent from the first one, they can even have different power depending on the sacrifice tier. For Support benefits, they gain a second independent one (affected towers will show two buff icons). Stack interactions with both buffs will be noted in the following section.

Sacrifice benefits

Primary

The Sun Temple and the True Sun God gains the following benefits from Primary sacrifices:

2 Main attack: Cooldown reduced by 10% (0.06s → 0.054s on a base Sun Temple).
3 Glaive attack: Damage increased: 50 → 100. Cooldown reduced: 1.3s → 0.8s.
4 Main attack: Cooldown bonus increased 10% → 20% (0.054s → 0.048s).
5 New attack: Blade Shooter with 8 blades, 150 damage, 100 pierce and 2.0s cooldown.
6 Main attack: Cooldown bonus increased 20% → 30% (0.048s → 0.042s).
7 Glaive attack: Damage increased: 100 → 150. Cooldown reduced: 0.8s → 0.5s.
8 Main attack: Cooldown bonus increased 30% → 40% (0.042s → 0.036s).
9 Blade attack: Damage increased: 150 → 250. Pierce increased: 100 → 200. Cooldown reduced: 2.0s → 1.5s.

Notes

  • Main attack speed is a multiplicative bonus (0.9, 0.8, 0.7 and 0.6×, respectively), and bonus from Sun Temple and True Sun God stacks multiplicatively, at max sacrifices it will be a 0.36× cooldown multiplier (0.6 × 0.6).
  • True Sun God's Blade Shooter is shifted 22.5° compared to the Sun Temple.

Military

The Sun Temple gains the following benefits from Military sacrifices:

2 Main attack: Projectile speed increased by 12 % (400 units/s → 448 units/s on a base Sun Temple).
3 Missile attack: Cooldown reduced: 3.0s → 1.5s.
4 Main attack: Projectile speed increased by 24 % (448 units/s → 496 units/s).
5 New attack: Spawns a Mini Spectre which throws darts (10 damage, 50 pierce) and bombs (6 damage, 10 pierce). Both attacks have infinite range and a cooldown of 0.15 s.
6 Main attack: Projectile speed increased by 36% (496 units/s → 544 units/s).
7 Missile attack: Cooldown reduced: 1.5s → 1.0s.
8 Main attack: Damage increased by 5 (5 → 10 on a base Sun Temple). Projectile speed increased by 50% (544 units/s → 600units/s).
9 Mini Spectre: Amount: 1 → 2. Dart damage: 10 → 15. Bomb damage: 6 → 10. Bomb pierce: 10 → 30.

Notes

  • Sun Temple's Ballistic Missile can only target MOAB-Class Bloons, the True Sun God's missile can target any Bloon and has higher flying speed.
  • For the stat section, projectile speed bonuses are assumed to stack additively with each other and the base is changed with the X-2-0 upgrade. At max sacrifices, it will be a 100% increase (50% + 50%).
  • Sun Temple's Mini Spectres fly in a circle figure with a radius of 80 units. True Sun God's Mini Spectres fly in infinite figure.
  • Damage bonus a +5 increase, at max sacrifices it will be +10 damage.

Magic

The editor who added this notice elaborates: It is unknown how projectile size bonuses, the distraction attack and the invisible push stack with each other.

The Sun Temple gains the following benefits from the Military sacrifices:

1 New attack: Seeking Arcane Blast attack with 4 projectiles, 40 damage, 15 pierce and 4.0s cooldown.
2 Main attack: Pierce increased by 5 (20 → 25 on a base Temple). Projectile size increased by 15% (9 → 10.35 units on a base Temple).
3 Main attack: Gains a 10% chance of distracting non-MOAB-Class Bloons, sending them backwards between 33 units and all the way to the start of the track.

New attack: Every 5 seconds emits a invisible push with 500 pierce that applies the distraction effect described above with 100% chance.

4 Main attack: Pierce increased by 5 (25 → 30). Projectile size increased by 30% (10.35 → 11.7 units).
5 Arcane Blast: Damage increased 40 → 60. Cooldown decreased: 4.0s → 2.0s.
6 Main attack: Distraction chance increased: 10%→ 20%.

Invisible push: Can now affect MOABs.

7 Arcane Blast: Damage increased 60 → 70. Amount of projectiles increased: 4 → 6.
8 Main attack: Pierce increased by 10 (30 → 40). Projectile size increased by 40% (11.7 → 13.05 units).
9 New attack: Starts spawning Mini Sun Avatars every 30 seconds which have a lifespan of 65 seconds. Mini Sun Avatars shoot 3 Sun Blasts with 4 damage, 6 pierce and a cooldown of 0.03 s.

Notes

  • For the stat section, projectile size bonuses are assumed to stack additively with each other. At max sacrifices, it will be a 90% increase (45% + 45%).
  • Pierce bonus a +5 / +10 increase, at max sacrifices it will be +40 pierce.
  • For the stat section, distraction chance is assumed to stack additively with each other. At max sacrifices, it will be a 40% chance (20% + 20%).
  • True Sun God Mini Sun Avatars can target and attack trough blockers and walls (in the same way   X-ray Ultra works but they still need Ultravision for camo detection).

Support

The editor who added this notice elaborates: For support benefits, the damage bonus applies to sub-towers, so is likely that pierce and range also do (Sun Avatars have the buff icon an a visually larger range), but needs verification. It is unknown how range bonus given to to other towers stack with each other.

The Sun Temple gains the following benefits from Support sacrifices:

1 Temple / Sun God: Range increased by 5 (65→ 70 on a base Temple).

New passive ability: Produces $500 cash at the end of the round.

2 New passive ability: Provides 10% discount to all towers and upgrades purchased in the Temple / Sun God range.
3 New passive ability: Reduces attack cooldown of all towers in range by 10% (0.9× multipier, ~11% attack speed increase).
4 New passive ability: Increases the cash obtanied by popping Bloons in the Temple / Sun God range by 50%.

Cash per round: Increased $500→ $2,000.

5 New passive ability: Provides +3 pierce and +20% range to all towers in the Temple / Sun God range.
6 New passive ability: Provides +1 damage to all towers in the Temple / Sun God range.
7 Discount bonus: Increased 10% → 20%.
8 Attack Cooldown bonus: Increased 10% → 20% (0.8× multipier, ~25% attack speed increase).

Cash per round: Increased $2,000→ $5,000.

9 Damage bonus: Increased +1 → +2.

Notes

  • Range bonus a +5 increase, at max sacrifices it will be +10 range.
  • Discount bonus is stacked additively, at max sacrifices it will be a 40% discount (20% + 20%).
  • Cooldown bonus is stacked additively, at max sacrifices it will be a 40% reduction (20% + 20%, or 0.6× multiplier).
  • Cash bonus is stacked additively, at max sacrifices it will double the income (50% + 50%). The cash bonus applies to the Temple / Sun God if the projectile hits inside its radius.
  • Pierce / damage / range bonus given to other towers a +3 / +2 / +20% increase, at max sacrifices it will be +6 / +4 / +40% pierce / damage / range, respectively. The figures for range are assumed.
  • The damage, cooldown, pierce and range bonus applies to sub-towers (Mini Spectres and Sun Avatars) and not to the Temple / Sun God itself. The additive damage bonus applies after the VTSG damage bonus, if applicable.
