The Desperado (plural Desperados)[2] is a Wild West-themed monkey in Bloons TD 6. It has the Tier 5 upgrade paths of “The Blazing Sun”, “The Golden Justice”, and “The Desert Phantom” with no currently released paragon, reflecting its redneck, country nature, more than ANY other monkey ever released before in the history of the Bloons Franchise. It is specifically based off of the stereotypes of people from Texas (like the developers using “howdy” and “y’all” in order to describe it), with many of the seeming similarities to 1800s cattle ranchers from that time period denied by Ninja Kiwi from New Zealand themselves, because the climate there is very dissimilar to that of the Southern United States itself, even though it has a “desert”[2], which may also be the inspiration behind the map which released alongside it in Version 49.0, Sunset Gulch.

Gameplay

The Desperado is a Primary tower that attacks with a pistol, which fires two rounds each time it attacks. It can be upgraded to replace its pistol with a revolver that fires more rounds per shot, use a rifle to attack Bloons out of range of its pistol, or use a shotgun to attack Bloons close to it.

Physical appearance

Desperados are monkeys with tan fur, grey skin, and brown eyes. The basic Desperado wears a brown cowboy hat, a red bandanna around its neck, and a belt with a holster for its pistol. It has an upgrade that changes its hat to a ten-gallon hat with a green band.

Lore

  • Most Desperadoes have a hobby that involves sitting around a campfire while eating beans and playing Buckaroo.[4]
  • The Desperado is not a cowboy, and doesn't use a lasso.[5]
  • Desperadoes own many tamed horses.[6]

why doesn't the desperado have a lasso????
The Lasso is a tool of a Cowboy, but Desperado is not a Cowboy. They are not herding cows, so have no need for one!

Outside of battle do Desperado Monkey’s have tamed horse companions? Have they also tamed other creatures to Ride? Like maybe the Beast Handler creatures?
They have tamed many horses, their favourite animal to bond with and ride! We are unsure if that is for the aesthetic or just stopping while you're ahead!
