Bouncing Bullet is the Sniper Monkey's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It allows the Sniper Monkey's bullets to bounce up to 2 times, hitting up to 3 Bloons per shot. Each bullet impact retains the Shrapnel Shot attack, triggering 5 shrapnel in a cone formation parallel to the direction of the bullet, with 2 pierce per shrapnel. Bullets can bounce to other Bloons within a 40 unit radius of a target, always bounces towards the closest targets, and the bounces can ignore obstacles.

Crosspathing with Full Metal Jacket increases shrapnel damage to 2 and grants Normal-type damage to its shrapnel. With Large Calibre, the bounce distance increases from 40 to 80 units and shrapnel damage increases to 3.

Bouncing Bullets serves as a decent mid-game, being a solid cleanup option on maps without simultaneous lanes, but poor single-target. Unlike Shrapnel Shot, positioning matters less, because the shrapnel from bounces will travel in a consistent direction. Going late-game, it has fairly good cleanup when spammed alongside Elite Sniper and Elite Defender in a Geraldo strategy.

0-3-2 is preferred when desiring consistency and better synergy with Berserker Brew. 2-3-0 is better self-sufficiently, and is less disadvantaged on maps with simultaneous lanes.

Bouncing bullet synergises too effectively with some buffs too early, and we don’t want to raise the price here and make the saveup from T2 to 3 any more tedious so the number of bounces is going down but remaining unchanged at T4.

Sniper Monkey has some very powerful upgrades but also many poor stepping stones. We felt this tower needed a big price shuffle all around, pushing down the cost of many underwhelming upgrades but returning this back into stronger upgrades.

Geraldo was the main power carry for Bouncing Bullet so performance has continued to drop with Geraldo synergies being less powerful now, but the save-up window from shrapnel into bouncing bullet has always been an annoying one so we’re happy to lower the price further to make this easier. Supply Drop’s crate value is staying matched to the total cost of the upgrade so it benefits from this small price buff as well.
