Qwertyxp2000 joined Blooncyclopedia to gain insight of creating the very best of content. I don't plan to go the fast route to rank up the Blooncyclopedia, as I still have way more things to learn on this wiki compared to Bloons Wiki. There's more heavy standards in Blooncyclopedia, and I don't think I'm ready for that compared to on Fandom where the rules are much more loose (in some retrospects...).

Relationships on Bloons Wiki and Blooncyclopedia

[edit | edit source]

The community is a lot more dynamic and proactive in Blooncyclopedia, yet I specifically chose to not be an admin of this wiki purely because I won't uphold the responsibilities for this wiki to feel trustworthy.

On Bloons Wiki (which I sometimes refer as "Bwiki", "Bloons Wiki on Fandom", or "Fandom Bloons Wiki") I am a long-time veteran admin who does the majority of the wiki content, perhaps over 95% of all content made on the wiki since my debut on July 31st 2015. Back then I was only 14. Gained a lot of trust over time for my dedication to hard work.

When it comes to my work on Blooncyclopedia, I share experiences of both wikis, and often like to express honest opinions about them. Sometimes, I get bitter about Bloons Wiki and complain about its lack of control, but in my heart it is the one and only wiki that I worked consistently for almost a decade, and will never give myself up on. I frequently give advice related to both wikis on the Blooncyclopedia Discord channel, and sometimes share experiences on Bloons Wiki as well.

  • Q. Do I think Blooncyclopedia is a net positive?
A. Yes. The rise of Blooncyclopedia as a rival wiki has significantly boosted cooperation of the entire Bloons community to make the best possible collection of Bloons content.
  • Q. Will Blooncyclopedia help boost the progress of coverage across Bloons games?
A. Yes. The end goal of my editing of wikis is to gain recognition as a valuable contributor of Bloons knowledge. The immense dedication of Blooncyclopedia has certainly cemented that philosophy.
  • Q. Will the presence of Blooncyclopedia deprecate Bloons Wiki?
A. No, because Fandom will always have artificially higher SEO, and Fandom's websites are catered to a wider audience, and mostly for children. So there IS a niche for both wikis. The presence of Bloons Wiki benefits Blooncyclopedia and vice versa.
  • Q. Will I leave Bloons Wiki?
A. If both Bloons Wiki and Blooncyclopedia are relatively peaceful, there will be no divisiveness in my stance of favored wiki.
  • Q. Why edit both wikis?
  • A. By contributing on both wikis, I get to embrace a wider variety of community members. Additionally, this prevents me from being complacent, because being in a monopoly of a single competing wiki is unmotivating.

History

[edit | edit source]

Previously, there was some hinting of the creation of Blooncyclopedia. Got interested in the project, but I didn't actually think of joining that wiki, yet...

On 26th August 2024, a certain anti-Fandom post came out and advertised Blooncyclopedia without Polavux knowing, and then I got curious. Looked at the wiki, got used to the name, joined their Discord with about only a dozen active users at the time, and had a great time chatting about the in's and out's of the Blooncyclopedia community. Then I announced my opinions and plans for Blooncyclopedia publically on r/btd6, stating that I enjoy the prospects of Blooncyclopedia, but still retaining a significant focus on Bloons Wiki, and vaguely implying my transition into Blooncyclopedia. Initially, the hype was a little disrupted upon acknowledging the lack of rights to upload files and create pages.

29th August 2024 is when I first got the autoconfirmed status, now allowing me to upload files, create pages, and do all sorts of great edits! Examples of contributions I did for Blooncyclopedia along the way for the first few months of Blooncyclopedia include: several screenshots, and some new pages such as Goliath Doomship!

Towards the end of October 2024, I surrendered a race to get the BCS content first, so I mostly focused on BCS on Blooncyclopedia because the BCS content on Bloons Wiki is poor. Regardless, I do still try to update BCS content on Bloons Wiki, despite being magnitudes behind.

For the rest of 2024, it is mostly more edits to BCS articles for tips, and just helping out with new strategy sections. I seldomly pioneer new content for an entirely new subject, with some exceptions in 2024: Last Resort before its release. Regardless, I feel that I worked harder overall across both wikis and the original Bloons Wiki better than before the turnover date on August 2024.

On 20th January 2025, I added the screenshot of the BTD1 Game Hint profanity to provide uncensored screenshot evidence of this notorious game hint.

There were several cases where my work hasn't gotten successful, such as Banana Plantation overview page, which I realized just doesn't suit Blooncyclopedia, but nonetheless I work on a lot of BCS content to huge success.

Likewise with getting too experimental. Best to just settle down, or just stop and think.

On April 8th 2025, all BTD6 upgrade articles have at least some sort of decent lede (leading section), with my edit to Jungle's Bounty (BTD6).

And even more progress. Also eventually made the Boss Rush article after some hard work.

On August 9th 2025, I convinced the idea of a supporting fund for Blooncyclopedia, by posting an image of Blooncyclopedia with Google claiming it's a store.

On 15th September 2025, I finished all of the basic Farm upgrade summarizations for Battles 2 on Blooncyclopedia, with some strategies added as necessary. The only unfinished one at the time was Monkey Wall Street, as I didn't know much about MWS metas in the at-the-time Farm meta.

Among other contributions in 2025 include setting up version 6.2 balance change information on December 2025 across each of the articles by looking at the source videos from notable BCS content creators who playtested the game.

On January 2025, I began updating Relic articles after the topic for each of the Relics got a green light. I added lots of tips related to Relics since then.
