Velociraptor is the Beast Handler's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. <section begin="lede"/>The Beast Handler now handles a velociraptor instead of an adasaurus. Its Beast Power is increased by +5, changing its Beast Power scale from 3–6 to 8–24.

The Velociraptor has increased range (20 to 24), pierce (8–20 to 9–23), damage (2–4 to 4–12), and splash radius (15 to 18). It also gains +3 damage to stunned Bloons, which scales with increased Beast Power, up to +8 at max Power.
The Velociraptor has 24 range instead of 20, and each bite has 18 radius instead of 15, plus increased damage, gains a 1.5× damage multiplier against stunned Bloons, and more pierce. Merges improve its damage and pierce, plus reduced attack cooldowns. Its bonus Ceramic damage is also increased from +1 to +4, regardless of Beast Power.

*Damage: Increased from 2–4 to 4–16.
*Pierce: Increased from 8–20 to 12–26.
*Attack cooldown: Starts at 1 second, which decreases to 0.6561 second at max Beast Power.

Power 18 Velociraptor is preferred for its ability to one-shot groups of Ceramics during mid-game. It can take out entire rushes during round 63 in just two hits, or one attack per lane on split lane maps. It also does solid damage against blimps, but struggles to handle fortified blimps and will need some support here as well as repositioning to get enough time to pop them. Since it relies on one-shotting Ceramics, it can become a lot weaker if earlier towers in the track break open Ceramics and cause pierce issues for it, requiring repositioning to handle Ceramic rushes before then.
Velociraptor is slow and weak for its cost, dealing poor damage to standard Bloons, insufficient pierce that causes it to struggle against swarms of weak Bloons, and needing merges to one-shot any standard Bloon except a normal Fortified Ceramic Bloon. It needs merges to have any value as a cleanup tower against standard Bloons. Its bonus stunned Bloon bonus is big enough to warrant applying stuns from Relentless Glue and similar stun supports.

Low power Velociraptor is slow and weak compared to Power 6 Adasaurus before it, and it should always be merged to at least 18 power. Typically, this is done with 2 Velociraptors plus an Adasaurus. Power 24 has more consistency with faster attack speed, does better against blimps and groups, and is useful if planning to upgrade to Tyrannosaurus Rex later, but is much less important than reaching Power 18.
Low power Velociraptor is slow and weak compared to Power 6 Adasaurus before it, and it should always have merges. Power 16 is enough to one-shot Rainbows, and Power 22 versus non-Fortified Ceramics. Power 24 has more consistency with faster attack speed, does better against groups, and aids transition into Tyrannosaurus Rex later.
