Laser Cannon is a consistent attacker with very high attack speed and pierce for the cost, with the only caveat being the need to micro to take advantage of it.

Powerful Darts isn't necessary for the base Laser Cannon, due to its already high base pierce and fast projectiles, unless it transitioned from Faster Barrel Spin. However, Depleted Bloontonium can be useful to deal with Lead Bloons and DDT.
