With Icebore, the bonus Frozen damage increases to +2.

The combination of extra damage with the three shot volley makes the Galesage a very powerful upgrade to the Wind Weaver at a low cost. The volley mechanic also allows a single Galesage to semi-reliably trigger its combo effect on its own without support of other towers. Once the combo is active, the tower can deal 18 damage per volley to a single target while also blowing back bloons making Galesage a very economical midgame tower.
Galesage can also be used for the Camo block, which can be combined with the Zephyr Sense toggle, and works on maps where decamos would normally struggle (such as Shimmer), such as Tricky Tracks. However, it is lot more expensive than Radar Scanner and is position-dependent, though it is still usable on Magic Monkeys Only.
Crosspathing middle gives increased attack speed cap, which the tower's large range can help it reach, but prevents it from popping purple bloons. Bottom crosspath gives increased pierce and the ability to pop frozen bloons, along with the frozen bloon synergies. Even without Ice Monkeys, the bottom crosspath is worth considering for the pierce alone.
