Hot Shot is the Monkey Buccaneer's path 2 tier 2 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It turns its grapes burning hot, granting grapes the ability to pop Lead and Frozen Bloons but losing the ability to pop Purple Bloons. Additionally, the grapes gain a damage-over-time effect that ticks every 1.5 seconds, dealing 2 damage and lasting 3.1 seconds. It can set Purple Bloons in this damage-over-time, but will not damage them.

Hot Shot's damage-over-time effect and innate lead-popping are beneficial against early Leads and for chipping Bloons. Notably, 0-2-2 Buccaneer is a cheap but reliable Camo Lead solution. Because the DoT cannot be stacked, multiple Buccaneers with Hot Shot for damage are not necessary. When used on first-path Buccaneers, it can handle DDTs when given external camo detection.
