Spectre is the Monkey Ace's path 3 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It grants Monkey Ace a new attack which rapidly fires darts and bombs directly at Bloons. This new attack has a cooldown of 0.06 seconds, and alternates between firing:

* Darts, which deal 4 damage with +1 Ceramic damage, 10 pierce, and cannot damage Lead Bloons
* Darts, which deal 6 damage, have 4 pierce, and has the Sharp damage type.
* Bombs, which deal 3 damage with +3 Ceramic damage, 20 pierce, and cannot damage Black Bloons
* Bombs, which deal 3 damage with +4 Ceramic damage, have 20 pierce, and has the Explosion damage type.

Both of these types of projectiles seek their target. This attack is always on First targeting.

This upgrade also increases the damage of Monkey Ace's main darts from 1 to 3.
This upgrade also increases the damage of Monkey Ace's main seeking darts from 1 to 3 and significantly improves its homing capability.

Mechanics
Homing darts
Spectre retains the radial volley attack of Neva-Miss Targeting, its previous upgrade, but deals 3 damage instead of 1 and lasts longer. Like Neva-Miss Targeting, each homing dart of the Spectre's dart volleys will decelerate if the target is not within a 20° cone of their current trajectory and accelerate if the target is within a 5° cone, allowing them to make much tighter turns in the air to avoid missing their targets. This seeking style is shared with Adora's Divine Bolts.
Front attack
The front attack consists of an alternating rapid-fire attack of homing darts and bombs. Both projectiles move in a straight line and are able to rotate towards bloons from any distance. Bombs seek bloons up to a 45° cone from its direction, and seek at 45°/second. Darts seek bloons up to a 30° cone but have infinite seeking rate. Unlike the homing darts, the darts and bombs of the front attack neither accelerate nor decelerate.
Bombs have larger hitboxes but move slower than the darts, and bombs last longer.

Spectre is an effective yet very expensive mid-game carry on many maps. Unlike its previous upgrade, Neva-Miss Targeting, Spectre's rapid attack speed limits its synergy with Berserker Brew. However, its attacks already have high enough base pierce and damage to reliably handle rounds 63, 76, and 78 on maps with reasonable track length. It falls off in the late game since it takes too many hits to destroy Super Ceramics and wastes shots chasing strays. Since the barrage always targets First, it is recommended that the Spectre flies ahead of the Bloons.
Because of its high cost, Rosalia is the preferred Hero for Spectre in CHIMPS, and on most maps the duo can save enough money to buy Flying Fortress to carry the rest of the game.
Top crosspath is preferred for higher DPS. 0-2-4, outside of challenges that require the Camo crosspath, is only beneficial on Race Events and CT Time Attack, as the Exploding Pineapple crosspath offers much more pierce on its bombs than the overall attack speed and projectile bonuses.
