They shoot out 8 tacks in a circle when popped, allowing them to pop other nearby Bloons. The {{series|Bloons}} depicts them as pink-colored Bloons with a tack symbol (replaced with holly leaves in ''Bloons Festive Fun'' and ''[[Bloons 2 Christmas Expansion]]'' and a rose in ''[[Bloons 2 Spring Fling]]''), while ''[[Bloons Supermonkey 2]]'' depicts them as gray-colored Bloons covered in spikes.

Tack Bloons shoot 8 tacks around them when popped. Each tack can pop one Bloon, and they can create chain reactions if they hit other Tack Bloons or [[Bomb Bloon]]s.
