Strategy
[edit | edit source]Larger Radius is not recommended as a standalone tower, since the range increase it grants over the base Ice Monkey does not justify its cost. Thus, its use is limited to crosspathing purposes.
Larger Radius is useful for Arctic Wind due to its small range and Larger Radius's succeeding upgrade, Re-Freeze, allowing it to perma-stall Super Ceramic Bloons. For all Tier 3+ middle-path Ice Monkeys, Larger Radius also has a use in increasing the range of their frozen water effect, but otherwise, Snowstorm and Absolute Zero generally prefer crosspathing with Cold Snap for Permafrost benefits and innate ability to freeze DDTs. Larger Radius is also useful for Embrittlement and Super Brittle when the ability to reach more parts of the track is desired, but is only recommended for Freeplay and Tier 4/5 Boss Bloons. For Ice Shards, Larger Radius is not recommended.
