All three are decent and can absolutely be used to Black Border this map, but unfortunately, none does with enough ease and room for comfort to crack the recommendation. Inferno Ring takes great advantage of the track layout, with its meteors bursting down blimps and its ring of fire doing cleanup, but the fairly lackluster damage of the ring of fire leaves barely any room for comfort when facing Fortified Super Ceramics, making it outclassed by The Biggest One. The same applies to MOAB Domination. Churchill attacks too slowly to be reliable, demanding a Perma-Spike that will occupy its optimal placement. They are certainly good enough for a Black Border, but they are not quite optimal enough to crack the recommendations and recommending too many towers there would somewhat defeat its purpose. There are nearly certainly a few details about these towers that I missed when testing them, and if it turns out I underrated these towers, I would definitely recommend them. @Player, you removed Psi from the list of recommended towers and I disagree with this wholeheartedly. You have mentioned that most strategies prefer another hero, but Psi is great at removing the dense RBE of tougher rounds in order for the Permaspike to tank most of the rounds. If you know of a better hero, then please explain yourself, but I really think Psi deserves a spot for that purpose, even if Corvus is just better (which he is, but corvus is just good everywhere so I feel like mentioning that is redundant) Planterror (talk) 04:59, 10 February 2025 (UTC) | @Player, you removed Psi from the list of recommended towers and I disagree with this wholeheartedly. Perma-Spike is not quite the strategy that everything revolves around on this map, as many other towers work just as well. Even when Perma-Spike is used, there are better Heroes for it other than Corvus, like Ezili, whose MOAB Hex removes significantly more RBE than Psi does. When using other DPS towers with Perma-Spike (like TB1 or PAA), Striker Jones's ability to buff them also helps remove significantly more RBE than Psi. In general, Psi is a solid choice, but they are not the most optimal one for most strategies. I will say that they are relatively simple to use, and I am alright with adding them back, but that is just my input. Some unconventional strategy towers
[edit source]Paging @Player for their input on this.
There are some likely lesser used towers for this map that I feel are noteworthy enough to do decent but maybe not the best to recommend. Do you feel like we should add them or stick with what's generally considered the best?
The towers I was thinking of are as follows:
- Inferno Ring (for chokepointing the end of the track and the meteor does good, but Iring is mostly relegated to meme strategies due to it's lackluster power)
- Captain Churchill (it has surprisingly decent line of fire on this map, but a very unconventional pick as no synergies)
- MOAB Domination (Placed in the very middle it can actually hit ZOMGs to the left and the right with decent effect but cleanup options become limited in that spot)
