It's a tradeoff for increased attack speed over accuracy for the Heli Pilot, while granting a Heli Pilot in the party. The wave-like motion prevents reliable popping of small Bloons in straight-line directions so having other towers for the early defense is recommended. This effect is lessened against MOAB-Class Bloons thanks to their larger hitboxes.
