Dark Knight is the Super Monkey's path 3 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It replaces the Super Monkey's darts with improved blade projectiles. The blades deal +2 MOAB-Class damage and have increased pierce by 3 (from 1 to 4), and radius increased from 2 to 4 without top-path upgrades. This upgrade improves the knockback effect, slowing Ceramic and Lead Bloons to 10% speed instead of 40%. Additionally, the Super Monkey is granted an Activated Ability which moves the tower to any valid location within its range.

Dark Knight is expensive, but has good enough MOAB-class DPS for mid-game and has strong Super Ceramic knockback during late game. Its low pierce and bloon damage make it very weak against bloon rushes for its cost, and its damage falls off after round 80, relegating it to support. Its darkshift ability allows it to function better on alternating lane maps, but can limit its synergy with local or area buffs. Due to its high price it should always be discounted by Monkey Commerce.

Robo didn't need to lose pierce in the last Super Monkey T2 rework, and Dark Knight feels like it has too much pierce without ever considering the pierce crosspath. So to balance these together we’ve taken out pierce from Dark Knight and added it back into x2x carrying up into Robo Monkey.
