The '''Dart Monkey''' is a [[Primary]] [[tower]] in ''[[Bloons TD 6]]''. It is unlocked at the start of the game.

 

The Dart Monkey throws darts that each pop up to 2 Bloons (3 with {{BTD6 mk|Extra Dart Pops}}). Darts cannot pop [[Lead Bloon (BTD6)|Lead Bloon]]s or [[frozen]] Bloons. It can be upgraded to hurl spiked balls from catapults, throw more darts per shot and transform into miniature Super Monkeys, or operate a crossbow that shoots high-damage bolts.

{{main strategy}}The Dart Monkey has the lowest cost of all Monkeys in [[Bloons TD 6]]. Its cost-efficient nature and inexpensive upgrades allow it to function very well in the early-game.  

* Path 1 of the Dart Monkey converts the tower into a machine that fires spiked balls with high [[Pierce]]. They are strong against Ceramics and grouped Bloons. The balls will also bounce off [[Line of Sight]] obstacles, making the tower most effective when placed near these obstacles.  

* The [[Apex Plasma Master]] is the least expensive of all [[Paragon|Paragons]], making it a viable option against Tier 3 and 4 [[Boss Bloon|Bosses]]. With the second Crossbow Master from the [[Master Double Cross]] Monkey Knowledge, one can build a Degree 20+ Paragon even with little additional investment. Like the Dart Monkey's top path, it is most effective when there are obstacles for its projectiles to bounce off of.
