Long Reach is the Spike Factory's path 3 tier 1 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It increases the Spike Factory's range by 8 distance units and doubles the lifespan of its spike piles, though it doesn't prevent them from disappearing at the end of each round. It also doubles the lifespan of the spikes from Spike Storm's and Carpet of Spikes's abilities. Crosspathing with Spiked Mines increases the blast radius of its explosions by ~33% and crosspathing with Super Mines increases the radius of its mini-explosions by the same degree.
Long Reach is the Spike Factory's path 3 tier 1 upgrade in Bloons TD 6.
This upgrade increases the Spike Factory's range by 8 distance units (from 34 to 42) and increases the lifespan of its spike piles during a round from 50 to 100 seconds. It also has the following benefits when given as a crosspath:
*Spike Storm and Carpet of Spikes — Their spikes from the ability, and the passive for the latter upgrade, last twice as long.
*Spiked Mines and Super Mines — Blast radius of all their explosions increased by ~33%

The standalone Long Reach is rather poor, only redeemable by its improved lifespan, and even then it's very niche for Apopalypse if needing cheap tanking. The range bonus is usually a net negative unless on specific maps with a lack of adequate track coverage near the back, such as Infernal. For crosspaths, Smart Spikes, its next upgrade, is usually the reason to go for this crosspath on T3+ or exactly the 1-0-2.
Long Reach should never be used as a standalone upgrade without going for Smart Spikes. Its lifespan bonus is its only useful function, which Smart Spikes gets regardless.
