As an ability-based income method, Monkey-Nomics benefits from [[stalling]] the rounds as much as possible so that more abilities can be used per round. With maximum stalling, the Monkey-Nomics ability can be used twice, making $18,000 ($20,000 with {{BTD6 mk|Backroom Deals}}) per round. However, the player should take note that during [[Ranked Boss Events]], cash-generating abilities pause their cooldown when the penalty timer is active. Without stalling, Monkey-Nomics is generally inferior to the other tier 5 Banana Farms until late [[Freeplay]], in which the rounds are much longer.

To farm the most money in freeplay challenges using the Monkey-Nomics, have the ability off cooldown at the start of the round, then use it twice and immeditely sell and replace it, and use the ability another 2 times for maximum cash. This should ideally done with the 0-5-2 crosspath next to a [[Favored Trades (BTD6)|Favored Trades]] Buccaneer, and produces huge amounts of cash.

[[Energizer (BTD6)|Energizer]] decreases the ability's cooldown, which serves as a buff to cash production when not maximally stalling. [[Geraldo (BTD6)|Geraldo's]] [[Rejuv Potion]] will reset the ability's cooldown, which turns a profit as the potion costs less than the ability provides.

With Monkey Knowledge active, [[Banana Salvage (BTD6)|Banana Salvage]] is the preferred crosspath. [[Greater Production (BTD6)|Greater Production]] makes little difference when using {{BTD6 mk|Bank Deposits}}. Even without depositing, it takes dozens of rounds for Greater Production to profit more than Banana Salvage after selling.
