It grants [[Camo detection]] to all of Monkey Ace's attacks, and increases the [[Camo damage]] of all attacks by +1 except for the MOAB Missiles of [[Fighter Plane (BTD6)|Fighter Plane]] and subsequent upgrades.

Spy Plane offers much potential for high-skill early Camo popping, particularly against early stages of [[Phayze]] on [[Boss Rush]]. However, it is not recommended elsewhere as a standalone tower, as it is highly unreliable. It is also useful as a crosspath in custom challenges that require camo-popping, such as [[2TC]] and against Phayze in general. Elsewhere, it falls flat for crosspathing purposes, as {{B|Fighter Plane|BTD6}} does not benefit significantly due to the missiles not damaging {{B|DDT|BTD6}}s regardless due to them having Black Bloon properties. {{B|Operation: Dart Storm|BTD6}} and {{B|Sky Shredder|BTD6}} favor {{B|Sharper Darts|BTD6}}, while {{B|Neva-Miss Targeting|BTD6}} and above favor {{B|Lots More Darts|BTD6}}.
