Sharp Shurikens is impactful for the Ninja's early-game pierce, especially when crosspathed. Since the extra pierce only affects the shuriken, [[Seeking Shuriken (BTD6)|Seeking Shuriken]]'s homing works favorably with extra pierce versus spaced out bloons. For other crosspaths, Sharp Shurikens is not so important, as it only affects shuriken pierce; middle-path upgrades only need it for the higher-pierce [[Distraction (BTD6)|Distraction]] and [[Counter-Espionage (BTD6)|Counter-Espionage]], and for [[Flash Bomb (BTD6)|Flash Bomb]] and above their bonus stunned/sticky damage is optional at T3 and T4 and improves cleanup against groups of bloons, but helpful for T5 due to the significant damage bonus.
