The meteor seeks towards targets, dealing 700 damage (1,000 with Even More Tacks) to the intended target(s) with infinite range, following standard targeting priorities. It has 1 pierce (2 with Super Range Tacks) that can be buffed, and once all pierce is used it creates an explosion that does 50 damage with 10 pierce and burns any non-Purple (50 damage per second for 4.1 seconds). The meteor is shot every 4 seconds. The meteor can only collide with the targeted bloon (therefore, it can't get blocked by other bloons), and cannot retarget the same bloon twice (only applied when it has more than 1 pierce). If no new targets are found, the meteor will fly off the map.

Inferno Ring has a difficult saveup in exchange for performing much better against MOAB class bloons, but is still only an average win condition that requires a lot of support. The high-damage meteor attack needs pierce buffs, such as Primary Training, Berserker Brew, and Stronger Stimulant, for it to do anything meaningful. Without a Symphonic Resonance to move bloons inside of its radius, Inferno Ring leaks too often to both DDTs and ceramics. An Overclock may be necessary if it struggles to pop bloons before they escape its range while also increasing the attack rate of the meteor. The targeting of the meteor should be set on Strong to get the most out of its single target damage.
Gwendolin is the best Hero for Inferno Ring because of her attack speed buffs. Bottom crosspath is better if Inferno Ring's pierce can be buffed for more overall damage. Otherwise, middle crosspath is better, as the +1 pierce to the meteor becomes more important without buffs.
