'''Berserker Brew''' is the [[Alchemist (BTD6)|Alchemist]]'s path 1 tier 3 [[upgrade]] in ''[[Bloons TD 6]]''. It allows the Alchemist to throw an additional potion to towers within its range, which grants them the Berserker Brew buff. This buff grants towers +1 [[damage]], +2 [[pierce]], +10% range, and reduces their [[attack cooldown]] by 10% (for an increase of ~11.11% in attack speed). This buff lasts for 25 shots or 5 seconds (40 shots or 6 seconds with 3-2-0) on a tower, whichever is shorter. Berserker Brew throws this buff potion once every 8 seconds (6.4s with [[Faster Throwing (BTD6) (Alchemist)|Faster Throwing]]). After receiving a buff potion, the target tower cannot receive another potion for 5 seconds (4 seconds with 3-2-0).

Berserker Brew is a versatile buff that can be applied on many types of towers for a signficant boost in DPS. For a cost slightly less than the [[Jungle Drums (BTD6)|Jungle Drums]] village, Berserker Brew can greatly improve the effectiveness of a single tower. Its best use cases are for mid-game transitions into powerful T4's and T5's. Additionally, it accepts full discounts from [[Monkey Commerce (BTD6)|Monkey Commerce]], which reinforces strategies that boost multiple towers each.

 

Due to the flat damage and pierce increase per projectile, this brew is best applied onto towers that attack moderately fast or have multiple projectiles per shot, such as [[Bloonjitsu (BTD6)|Bloonjitsu]], [[Triple Guns (BTD6)|Triple Guns]], and [[Neva-Miss Targeting (BTD6)|Neva-Miss Targeting]], as well as decently fast-attacking towers with plenty of projectiles per shot such as [[Overdrive (BTD6)|Overdrive]] and 3-1-0 [[Destroyer (BTD6)|Destroyer]]. [[Super Monkey (BTD6)|Super Monkeys]] get very large benefits from the buff, but consume it far too fast to be reliable, limiting its value below t3. Berserker Brew should be placed closest to the tower that needs the buff and avoid having other towers in range if the [[Acidic Mixture Dip (BTD6)|Acidic Mixture Dip]] buff is needed (e.g. [[Abyssal Warrior]]).

Compared to {{BTD6|Stronger Stimulant}}, Berserker Brew is less than half the price if discounted or if not crosspathed, and using two Berserker Brews can be preferable to upgrading to Stronger Stimulant, if the second {{BTD6|Acidic Mixture Dip}} is useful. A Stronger Stimulant buff lasts for more than twice as long as Berserker Brew time-wise, but two 3-2-0 brews provide a much better shot limit. This is most relevant when buffing two valuable, fast-attacking towers, but since x-2-0 also reduces the reapplication time for brews, 2 3-2-0 Alchs can both buff one single fast-attacking tower, provided they are isolated to avoid them buffing other towers.<!-- Though since the max rebuff rate exactly matches their base attacking speed here, they can't benefit from Jungle Drums -->

Crosspaths help improve overall uptime of the brew, though crosspaths are situational. 3-0-1 gives slightly more uptime than 3-2-0,<!--1/0.8 = 1.25, vs 5 to 6 seconds equal +20%--> not counting shot amounts, while 3-2-0 is often preferred if the target shoots quickly. [[Acid Pool (BTD6)|Acid Pool]] is avoided because it has no impact on the brews. Crosspathing can help a tower get higher uptime on brew buffs, but if brew uptime would pass 100%, the Berserker Brew Alchemist can start tossing potions to other towers instead. With Jungle Drums and no MK, assuming buffs expire by time rather than shot count, 3-0-1 gives 92% uptime, 3-2-0 gives 88% uptime.
