The Acid Pool upgrade attempts to make Alchemist function as a more consistent offensive tower, but its weak power and lack of synergy to build off of make the upgrade almost useless. It is not strong enough to pop the layer by itself and at slightly higher prices are much stronger options like a 0-3-2 {{BTD6|Spike Factory}}, but at its specific price point, it is the strongest option available on long single-lane maps.
