→Strategy: reordered larger service area stuff. don't remove the standalone engi part; early-game engi for things like ct boss where you wanna do engi earlygame carry till trap (only when farm and boat are not enabled, since those are more efficient to snowball) and wanna spend as little as possible for the 014 trap saveup, or sometimes maps like geared where that range is necessary, perhaps? also x2x necessity of range sentry erratic placement is unavoidable, and a problem

Larger Service Area as a standalone upgrade allows the Engineer to reach further, so it can target bloons earlier. However, the main value of Larger Service Area is its crosspathing benefits.
Larger Service Area is preferred for its crosspathing benefits. [[Bloon Trap (BTD6)|Bloon Trap]] needs it to maximize income; traps can be repositioned to convenient locations that avoid the Engineer's nailgun from stealing pops, as well as manual trap collection. Extra range for the sentry deployment can sometimes be actively harmful, making sentry placement more erratic, but unavoidable for [[Deconstruction (BTD6)|Deconstruction]]. The standalone Larger Service Area is marginally useful to allow Engineer to target Bloons earlier.

Bloon Trap gains an important utility when crosspathed with Larger Service Area, allowing traps to be repositioned to a convenient location, especially to avoid the Engineer's nailgun from stealing pops that would've went to the trap.

Extra range for the sentry deployment can sometimes be actively harmful, as this can make sentry placement more erratic, even with the benefit of extra range of the sentries themselves.
