Submerge and Support is a solid de-camo tower, being cheaper than most other decamo options. Despite dealing no damage while submerged, it's overall favorable; this avoids stealing from bloon-based income generators such as [[Bloon Trap (BTD6)|Bloon Trap]], while not demanding external camo detection. It works the best when placed so that its radius covers the entirety of a bend and it can de-camo reliably. However, when playing on maps without bends or with multiple far-apart lanes, Submerge and Support's utility falls off. Due to its lack of constant decamo, it is not sufficient by itself against {{BTD6|DDT}}s.
Submerge and Support is a cheap and solid de-camo tower, working best around bends. On maps without bends or with far-apart lanes, a global de-camo such as {{BTD6|Signal Flare}} is better. Additionally, Submerge and Support can be unreliable against {{BTD6|DDT}}s. Lastly, its value can be maximized by unsubmerging it on rounds without Camos.

To maximize its value, un-submerge it on rounds without Camos to use its main attack. 3-0-1 is the optimal crosspath, greatly enhancing the de-camo pulse's reliability against fast Bloons. {{BTD6|Airburst Darts}} is not needed because it does not increase pulse rate, but still useful when a strong early-game tower is desired. Middle crosspaths do little at tier 3.
3-0-1 greatly improves its de-camo consistency against fast Bloons. All other crosspaths do little to nothing for its de-camo, but can be used for supporting fire unsubmerged.
