Fireball Wizard is a Magic Monkey card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 6.0. It sets the target Bloon on fire.
The card artwork depicts a Fireball Wizard giving the thumbs up while smiling. The environment and the monkey's hat are ignited in embers. Various rocks are scorched.
Tips
[edit | edit source]This section was last updated for: version 6.2
- A slower method of consistently applying fire than the Burny Stuff Mortar, but can be manually targeted, does more damage, and can attack during a turn. It remains useful for Gwen decks, which benefit from Bloons set on fire.
- Fireball Wizard has one of the highest ATK out of any non-Unique Monkey, making it a solid choice for many decks that struggle with single-target damage during the mid-game. Notably, after ending the opponent's turn with On Fire damage, it does enough damage to pop a Yellow Bloon, or a Blooming Bloon buffed by Zee Jay or Amelia even on Dark Castle.
- Without accounting for On Fire, this is essentially a non-Military Sniper Monkey that costs 3 more Gold and does 10 more damage. Like the Sniper, it's good for single-target damage and benefits from ammo buffs like Ezili's Totem.
- If affected by Buddy Bloon, it attacking is only worth it if wanting to trigger fire synergies such as Gwen's exclusive cards (especially Extreme Heat) or Flame Strike.
Development
[edit | edit source]During Version 6.2 playtesting, playtesters noted that Fireball Wizard's lack of flexibility is more of an intentional weakness by design, so instead, community playtesters opted for a slight ATK buff,[1][2] making it slightly better for anti-aggro (e.g. one-shotting a Yellow Bloon after On Fire effects) and general use against single targets.[1]
