Fast Upgrades is an Experiment Quest in Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 40.0. In this Quest, at the end of each round, the game automatically grants one free upgrade to all towers currently placed. It prioritizes upgrading the path that has the most upgrades already purchased and can be upgraded further (for example, a 0-4-1 Dart Monkey becomes a 0-5-1 Dart Monkey after one round, then a 0-5-2 Dart Monkey after a second round). If tied, it prioritizes the second path, then the first path, then the third path. If there are multiple towers with the same tier 4 upgrade, the one that was placed first receives the tier 5 upgrade.

Strategy

Due to the way that automatic upgrades are prioritized, managing funds is very important to ensure the towers get the upgrades they need. The layout of the map also makes it difficult to place towers in an area where they can hit the bloons. Here is a possible strategy:
- Place a Dart Monkey to the right of the high platform. Upgrade it to 2-1-0. Begin the game.
- In the middle of Round 2, upgrade the Dart Monkey to Very Quick Shots. Afterward, start Round 3.
- Tap the cave in the top left corner to remove the wall section closest to the track, then place a Boomerang Monkey where the wall was and upgrade it to 1-2-0. Start Round 4, upgrading the Boomerang Monkey to 2-3-0 in the middle of the round. While the round is still going, quickly place a Monkey Village on the high platform’s steps, and upgrade it to 1-1-0, ensuring that both the Boomerang Monkey and Dart Monkey are in its radius.
- Purchase a Spike Factory and place it at the track’s end, upgrading it to 2-2-0. Start Round 5, using the Boomerang Monkey’s Turbo Charge ability to destroy the bloons. In the middle of the round, upgrade the Village to 4-2-0.
- Start Round 6. After the DDTs and MOABs are destroyed, quickly place an Engineer Monkey and upgrade it to Overclock. Wait until the BAD is in the Boomerang Monkey’s range, then Overclock the Boomerang Monkey and activate the Perma Charge’s ability to destroy the BAD, using the Spike Storm ability to help destroy it and its child bloons.
