The mobile version of Bloons TD Battles is a remake of the Flash version of Bloons TD Battles for iOS and Android developed by Ninja Kiwi Europe. It is based on the multiplatform version of Bloons TD 5, similar to how the Flash version of Bloons TD Battles is based on the Flash version of Bloons TD 5. This version has exclusive towers (some incorporated from the mobile version of BTD5, such as the Heli Pilot), maps, modes, customization features, and social features. In 2015, this version was ported to Windows and Windows Phone exclusively on the Microsoft Store, and in 2016, it released on Steam with support for both Windows and macOS.

Battle Powers

Main article: Power

Powers are items that players can use during a match. There are five categories of powers, each with 13 different powers (one base power and 12 unlockable powers split into three paths). Players can equip three powers in a match, and cannot equip more than one power from the same category. All powers have a limited number of uses per match (ranging from 1 to 20, but most are limited to 2 or 3), and most powers have a cooldown between uses.

Arenas

Main article: Arena

Arenas are matchmaking rooms where players wager their Medallions to enter. In Arena matches, the player that wins earns all the Medallions wagered by both players. Each Arena requires players to wager a different amount, and there are special event Arenas that can have additional rules.

Modes

Tournament

Main article: Tournament

Tournament mode allows players to create their own tournaments with custom rules.

Card Battle

Main article: Card Battle

Card Battles are matches where players use a deck of 15 cards to play towers and Bloon sends. Cards can either be played as a tower on the player's side or a Bloon send on the opponent's side. In addition to Battle Powers, this mode has Power Cards. In Quick Battle, this mode can only be played in Arenas.

Battle Challenge

Main article: Battle Challenge

Battle Challenge is a singleplayer event mode where the player plays against an AI-controlled opponent named Professor Evil. On each event, the goal is to reach a certain round using a predetermined loadout of towers and powers while Professor Evil sends Bloons. The challenge rotates every few days and rewards different amounts of Medallions depending on the difficulty.

Battle School

Tutorial A scripted match on Park against an AI that teaches the player basic gameplay.
Sandbox A Club-exclusive mode that gives the player unlimited access to maps, towers, powers, Bloon sends, cash, and lives for testing out strategies.
Practice Allows the player to play Defense mode solo on any map except boss maps. Club maps are not accessible without a membership.
Card Battle Help A scripted match on Park against an AI that teaches the basics of Card Battles.
