To maximise the damage this tower deals, its range must be increased as much as possible. Range can be increased using [[Aerial Attunement]] up to 5 times, [[Berserker Brew]], [[Monkey Village (BTD6)|Monkey Village]], [[Deadeye|Deadeye's]] ability and buffs from [[Obyn Greenfoot (BTD6)|Obyn]], [[Geraldo (BTD6)|Geraldo]] or [[Etienne (BTD6)|Etienne]]. [[Bottle of 'Gerry's Fire' Hot Sauce|Gerry's Fire]] benefits massively from this tower's damage scaling as well.

Farwind Seer excels against [[MOAB-Class_Bloon|MOAB-Class Bloons]], but struggles against [[Ceramic Bloon (BTD6)|Ceramic Bloons]] if they're not fully popped in a single hit. If a round is causing trouble because Ceramics are getting popped into Reds or Blues, it may be worth giving this tower [[Jar of Pickles]] or switching to its long-range mode.

5-0-2 crosspath ([[Icebore]]) is usually preferred for the piercing capabilities, with 5-0-1 ([[Shatterpoint]]) being sufficient if going without Ice. 5-1-0 ([[Storm's Pulse]]) is currently non-functional for the speed boost, and 5-2-0 ([[Thundering Arc]]) can sometimes be a downgrade due to not piercing in a straight line, despite ignoring obstacles and the further distances from the target scaling pierce and radius.
