Ice Shards is the Ice Monkey's path 1 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. Bloons frozen by this Ice Monkey will add a "ice shards" status effect that soaks up to two layers, or up to three layers with 3-2-0 crosspath, but will not trigger it from the initial freezing damage.
