Cannon Ship is a cheap but cost-effective early group-popping option, and mildly useful for single-target if [[Destroyer (BTD6)|Destroyer]] cannot be afforded (mainly for CT Least Cash/Tiers, and Boss Rush if needing to deal Boss damage and defend simultaneously). The bombs deal plenty of damage to groups, and grapes deal much more damage suited against singular targets. Like most Buccaneers, it's recommended to position Cannon Ship such that it attacks from both sides. Try to place it closer to the bloons so its grapes and bombs hit reliably, as its lack of darts makes it more prone to missing spaced bloons.

Crosspathing is beneficial but not vital to maximize its potential. Top crosspaths cater towards higher general DPS, and overall better for single-target, while bottom crosspaths are preferred for group-popping due to the much greater pierce and innate camo detection.
