Shattering Shells is the Mortar Monkey's path 3 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD Battles 2. Before applying a higher-damage burning effect, explosions will remove all Camo and Regrow properties, and all Fortified properties from up to BFB. On hit, the main explosion strips Regrow and Fortified properties, unlike Signal Flare's decamo which comes from a separate no-damage explosion. | Shattering Shells is the Mortar Monkey's path 3 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD Battles 2. Shattering Shells is frequently used in combos with a sharp-attacking tower to allow DDT-popping, mainly for Dart-Mortar and Tack-Mortar combos. It's not as expensive as buying a whole Blooncineration while still offering Round 26-29 support. Not only this, any Fortified MOAB/BFB rush would be nullified, forcing the opponent to send other types of rushes. The defortify also assists in breaking HP from the children of a Fortified ZOMG, though more cleanup is needed for the insides, as the burn effect is still too slow and clunky. | |||
