Sprockets is a high DPS early game tower that struggles because it can't pop lead or camo. Like the rest of the path, it's weak on the round it's purchased on because it does not immediately replace its sentries, and is more likely to lose because of placement RNG. It's usually a better option than [[Double Gun (BTD6)|Double Gun]] with sentries, which has similar weaknesses but has worse DPS.

Like the rest of the path, it's weak on the round it's purchased on, because it takes time to build improved sentries, and bad sentry placements can be caused by RNG. 3-2-0 is better for building into [[Sentry Champion (BTD6)|Sentry Champion]], and has better single-target damage. 3-0-2 is better for the early game, because of the extra pierce and sentry pinning.
