With exception of Pretzel and Pickaxe, this is an easy terrain that is well-suited for Ice. Without Dartling, quickly pointing over different regions is difficult especially on Pickaxe, and should instead be substituted by separating cheaper defenses on different regions. Losing Dart and Engineer makes early rounds harder, but Ninja is still a perfectly viable option on all Snow Terrain tracks. While it's rare for Snow Terrain to appear close to a city's centre, CT still can run Snow Terrains no matter the city.
Specific to Pickaxe, there is a tendancy to leak to opposing exits, so having a Spike Factory for each exit can help. Since there's no Dart or Dartling to take advantage of the straight line at the back of the incoming lane, use Ninjas to on opposite sides of the start to cover both exits while still seeing the entrance, and use 0-1 Mortar targeted at the start to handle Leads and 0-3 Mortar's [[Signal Flare (BMC)|Signal Flare]] to handle Camo Leads.
Specific to Pretzel, the main difficulty is the simultaneous interweaving lanes. An upgraded Ninja with [[Seeking Shuriken (BMC)|Seeking Shuriken]] placed in the middle perpendicular to all intersections is a solid spot to cover all lanes. Use 1-1 and 1-3 Mortar to deal with the entering Leads and Camo Leads, aiming at either the start or the first intersection. Unfortunately, Spike Factories have no consistent spot that only ever targets the merged exit, and must cover at least a little of one of the unmerged lanes, but still viable for exit protection.
