Hard Thorns is the much preferred crosspath for Druid of the Jungle+, solving one of its biggest weaknesses for cheap. For bottom path, this crosspath should only be considered if external Lead popping is unavailable as this loses Thorn Swarm's DPS.
Hard Thorns provides early-game pierce, allowing it to handle more bloons with its thorns. Its innate lead-popping allows it to handle Lead rounds with ease, especially middle path Druids, and towards the late-game allows it to damage visible DDTs. However, Avatar of Wrath tends to prefer middle crosspath and acquire external lead-popping or de-leading (e.g. Monkey Intelligence Bureau, Glue Storm).
