Essence Of Vortex is a type of Artifact in the Rogue Legends DLC for Bloons TD 6. When active, all projectiles from Tier 4 or higher Monkeys and Level 15+ Heroes will knockback MOAB-Class Bloons by making them move backwards at half speed for a short amount of time, and every hit has 10% chance to blowback any non-blimp Bloon by 5 to 25 units.
Like all Boss Artifacts, this has a cost of 18 Artifact Power, so players cannot equip it as an Starting Artifact unless they have bought all the levels of the Starting Artifact Power upgrade from the Rogue XP Shop.

Essence Of Vortex is one of the least powerful Boss Artifacts, but still a strong choice towards late-game to control any non-BAD, such as DDTs, although it faces competition from other stalling towers like Maim MOAB, Relentless Glue, MOAB Press, or Avenger, specially if the player has enough Artifacts to boost their attack speed. Also, it can create high amounts of lag, so it is also dropped in favor of the mentioned towers.

Projectile asset swapped to something more subtle which produces less lag (bug fix)
Artifact power increased ― 9 → 18
Boss Artifacts now stack with the effects of One Monkey Army (bug fix)
- Tier requirement reduced ― 5 → 4
- Hero level requirement reduced ― 20 → 15
- Note: Description changed accordingly
- Heroes no longer count as all categories when reaching Level 4 when combining One Monkey Army with a Boss Artifact (undocumented) (bug fix)
- Note: The change was actually done on the Boss Artifacts themselves by making the filter explicitly remove Heroes, instead of allowing the other four categories
