Corvus is a monkey character that first appeared in Bloons TD 6. He is a "Spirit Walker" who drains Bloons' energy through his Spellbook and his Spirit companion.

Gameplay

Corvus is a Hero that serves as an all-around damager. Corvus haunts a bloon in his range, which is weakened and explodes once fully popped. The spirit can fly anywhere around the map to damage bloons, serving as a decent power attack. Corvus's main power comes from the mana gained through abilities and popping haunted bloons, which allow him to use a variety of spells to deal with almost any situation. He is the second most expensive hero to place and levels at a medium speed.

Corvus is mentioned in a dialogue in Amelia's Adventure and appears in the card art for Corvus Academy of Arts in Bloons Card Storm.

General information

Appearance

Corvus has blue fur, pale gray skin, and glowing green eyes with black sclera. He wears a black vest with light blue trim, a maroon scarf, a pair of puffy gray shorts, a light brown belt with a silver buckle, and a pair of gray gloves with white bandages underneath. He additionally has a set of markings on his lips, making his face resemble a skull. In Bloons TD 6, his appearance changes as he levels up:

• At level 3, he gains glowing light blue markings on his cheeks and lower lip, alongside light gray highlights on the fur on his forehead.
• At level 7, he gains light purple shadows under his eyes and the cowlick on top of his head becomes hook-shaped.
• At level 10, he gains a set of five supernatural turquoise prongs above his forehead and his grayed fur grows slightly larger.
• At level 15, he gains a set of six turquoise markings on his cheeks, he bares his sharp turquoise teeth, his cowlick starts to resemble a pair of horns, and his left glove and feet glow a darker shade of turquoise.
• At level 20, his fur grows longer, his left glove turns hot pink and has its fingers replaced with claws, and he begins levitating.

Personality and traits

Corvus is very serious and intimidating, having a deep, growled voice, ghastly appearance, and rarely expressing positive emotions when not leveling up. Subsequently, he and Ezili see each other as kindred spirits. He has, however, been described as friendly when not popping Bloons, though he never talks about work.

• He enjoys pottery in his spare time. He keeps a chain link fence around his finished pots to prevent "short monkeys in green caps with magic swords" from breaking them.
• He has been implied to be in a "dark magic club" with Ezili, Prince of Darkness, and Lych.
• Corvus and Obyn Greenfoot aren't related, but they bicker "like brothers do".
• His interest in spirit walking stems from a fascination with the paranormal. Walking amongst the spirits has become a daily routine of his.
• What he calls his spellbook has not been disclosed, but "necroblonicom" has been suggested by a different monkey.
• He loves dark chocolate, "the darker the better".
• If the book lets him, Corvus enjoys showing off his spellbook's incantations to fellow practitioners like Ezili.
• He claims he wrote his spellbook himself after many years of training, but this claim cannot be verified.
• He loves horror games, but his lack of skill in gaming means he often asks Adora for help playing them.
• Despite his appearance, Corvus is not undead.
• Corvus goes ghost hunting for helpful spirits, occasionally employing Pat Fusty for his comparatively calming presence.
• He also hunts for ancient magic, uncovering phenomena "no monkey should see" apparently unfazed.
• Besides his spellbook, he enjoys the literary works of Edgar Ape Poe.
• He is an avid Warhammer 40,000 player, having an army of Necrons. He has been stated as planning to host a tournament.
• He is currently the Hero Trial record keeper.
• At least two buffs he has received in BTD6 have been explained as a result of taking some time off to study his craft further.
• He majored in spookiness.
• His taste in music consists of rap, metal, and Whitney Houston. He owns an original vinyl pressing of Blimp Bizkit's first album.
• He likes to stay up late reading with Silas, especially if it involves eldritch horror.
