Cargo is an Advanced map in Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 11.0. It is a dock with a line of trucks blocking the middle. At the start of round 39, the trucks in the middle move out of the way, opening a second path used only by MOAB-Class Bloons. Once the trucks in the middle have moved, the trucks in the top left and bottom right can be removed.
Layout
[edit | edit source]Cargo has 2 lanes, one for Bloons and one for MOABs. The 2 trucks (one near the top-left and one near the bottom-right, each removable for $500), trucks in the middle (before Round 39), and boats block line-of-sight. The central dock is surrounded by water, so ample space is available for both land and water towers on this map. There is a thin strip to the top & right of the track that can only fit the smallest towers, such as Dart Monkeys. Cargo's MOAB lane is one of the shortest among the Advanced maps, with only Erosion's lanes (except the Round 36-53 lane) and Mesa's bottom lane being shorter.
Strategy
[edit | edit source]Cargo has a difficult mid-game, due to the Bloons-only and MOAB-only lanes being simultaneously active on most rounds and diverting the attention of many towers away. However, the early-game and late-game are relatively simple, despite the short lengths of the lanes, due to the effectively single-lane nature of this map in those rounds. In the early-game, place towers immediately to the right of the MOAB lane so they retain their strategic importance. After Round 39, attempt to place as much of the defense as possible below the 1st bend of the MOAB lane so that they are well-positioned for the late-game. Water towers are ideally placed immediately to the right of the MOABs' exit.
Recommended towers and upgrades
[edit | edit source]| Name | Portrait | Reasoning |
|---|---|---|
| Corvus | In the early-game, when placed near the front, Corvus trivializes nearly all rounds thanks to Cargo's single-lane nature before Round 40 and can farm large amounts of mana. During the mid-game, he can move around constantly with Spirit Walk to adjust to the shifting spawns of Bloons and MOABs, with his spellbook being able to save up massive amounts of money for win conditions. In the late-game, the single-lane nature of the MOAB path greatly enhances his two most powerful spells, Ancestral Might and Overload. | |
| Glaive Lord | When placed right below the 1st bend of the MOAB path, Glaive Lord's thrown glaives can cover both lanes well and its rotating glaives do solid cleanup for the MOAB lane. With these advantages, it deals very solid overall damage on nearly all late-game rounds. |
